Calculate Windshield Height and Width
- If windshield is mechanically adjustable, lower to the lowest position.
- Use 2 yardsticks, measuring tape, or straight edge.
- Place motorcycle on a level spot.
- Using masking tape, tape yardstick to the center of the windshield.
- Sit on your motorcycle.
- Using the 2nd yardstick, measure from your chin (no higher than your mouth) to the
yardstick taped to the windshield.
Basically, you want to make sure the top of the windshield is even with or just below your
mouth. This is a general rule of thumb and is effective for the majority of riders.
